The Folly
The idea of the folly is to be situated in the bottom right hand side of Carlton hill. The main concept is to utilise the unused space on the hill of many follies in turn completing the overall form of the hill. The folly is situated so it ac be viewed from afar however on approach from the main route up it is hidden thus creating the unsuspected surprise. The form of the folly comes from the two other towering follies on the site but with the idea of merging the idea of the ruin and the modern together. The other aspect in the folly is nature. The abstract wooden elements represent nature overtaking and attacking the folly and in turn creating a dynamic folly.
